Series - How are the points distributed after a match?

Updated

When playing a series match, 6 points are always distributed between the teams, with 2 points awarded per set won. If the last set is not completed in time, the points for that set are divided evenly between the teams. If a team is leading by two games or more, the points for that set are distributed 1.5 to 0.5. Otherwise, the points are divided equally between the teams. Possible point distributions are thus 6-0, 5-1, 4.5-1.5, 4-2, or 3-3.

Example result:

Jonas / Folke vs Göran / Olof: 6-4, 4-6, 4-3.

In this case, Jonas and Folke get two points for the first set, while Göran and Olof get two points for the second set. The score after the first two sets is therefore 2-2. Since they did not have time to finish the last set, and the score was 4-3 when the time was up, and no team is leading by two games or more, the points for that set are distributed evenly between the teams. The points distribution for that set is therefore 1-1. The final result is thus 3-3.
